CONCERT + ALBUM UPDATE - SEPTEMBER 1

I wanted to give you an update about what's happening and what's planned. 2025 has been eventful and full so far. It started with finishing the album "Construct", Then came the European tour which was on of the best experiences I've had in years, the album release (it reached #3 in the German MCC All-Albums Chart and, strangely, also #1 in the German MCC Pop Album Charts.) the production for the follow up album "Destruct", a thoroughly enjoyable but unexpected stay in hospital, weeks of recuperation, a fabulous two-night "Unter dem Himmel" festival in Thale and so much more. I know many of you are asking about releases and tour plans so, let me tell you what I can.
We've some festival shows over the next 2 months, the Christmas Shows are back, some shows in parts of Europe we haven't been to yet and plans for North America should be finished in a few weeks. Oh and the next album. Read on ..

ALBUM NEWS

Many of you know that I was in hospital because of a severe bacterial infection some weeks back. Between this and the intense treatment, I'd to take a long break afterwards, to recuperate and heal. My sincere thanks again for all the concern and well-wishes. This meant the world to me. Anyway, schedules had to change. There was a lot waiting for me to catch up on, when I got back to work, and I've been steadily clearing the backlog, including a very-overdue, complete re-cable and upgrade of my studio, to finish the album. I'm back working on the production. This album is dark, intense, cinematic and there's so much more to tell you about it (no, I'm not forgetting the plan for the boxset). As I mentioned, there was a lot of replanning because of the unexpected, long break so, when things are a little more concrete, I'll let you know about the confirmed release plan.

CHRISTMAS SHOWS

Dates are online (or just head over to Eventim, if you can't wait). If you've been to one, you already know what they are. The shows are held in small venues and it's an intimate, energetic, live experience. We hope you'll bring your Christmas hats and sweaters again and join us at one of the parties for a fun evening in the run-up to Christmas.
We're also really looking forward to the "Destructivism" show at the Dark Storm Festival on December 25th. It's a special show that won't be like other VNV shows. It's a non-stop, live-mix of tracks from "Destruct" with elements of older VNV tracks blended in, lots of synths and equipment on stage, and some surprises at the end.


And last but not least, shows in North America are planned for Spring 26. We're finalising them and will post as soon as they're ready. We've already announced the show in Greece and more shows in other European countries are coming. Other parts of the world are being worked on. More to come

Ich wollte euch mal auf den neuesten Stand bringen, was gerade so los ist und was geplant ist. Das Jahr 2025 war bisher echt erlebnisreich und vollgepackt. Es fing mit der Fertigstellung der Produktion des Albums ,,Construct" an, dann kam die Europatournee, die eine der besten Erfahrungen war, die ich seit Jahren gemacht habe, die Veröffentlichung des Albums (Platz 3 in den deutschen MCC-Gesamtalbumcharts und seltsamerweise auch Platz 1 in den deutschen MCC-Popalbumcharts), die Produktion des Nachfolgealbums ,,Destruct", ein durchweg angenehmer, aber unerwarteter Krankenhausaufenthalt, wochenlange Erholung, ein fantastisches zweitägiges ,,Unter dem Himmel"-Festival in Thale und vieles mehr. Ich weiß, dass viele von euch nach Veröffentlichungen und Tourplänen fragen, also lasst mich euch sagen, was ich euch sagen kann.

Wir haben in den nächsten zwei Monaten ein paar Festivalauftritte, die Weihnachtsshows sind wieder da, ein paar Shows in Teilen Europas, in denen wir noch nicht waren, und die Pläne für Nordamerika sollten in ein paar Wochen fertig sein. Ach ja, und das nächste Album. Lest weiter ...

Viele von euch wissen, dass ich vor ein paar Wochen wegen einer schweren bakteriellen Infektion im Krankenhaus war. Wegen der Infektion und der intensiven Behandlung musste ich danach eine längere Pause einlegen, um mich zu erholen und zu genesen. Nochmals vielen Dank für all die Anteilnahme und die guten Wünsche. Das hat mir echt viel bedeutet. Jedenfalls mussten die Pläne geändert werden. Als ich wieder zur Arbeit kam, gab es viel aufzuholen, und ich habe stetig den Rückstand aufgearbeitet, einschließlich einer längst überfälligen kompletten Neuverkabelung und Aufrüstung meines Studios, um das Album fertigzustellen. Ich arbeite wieder an der Produktion. Dieses Album ist düster, intensiv, cineastisch und es gibt noch so viel mehr darüber zu erzählen (nein, ich habe den Plan für das Boxset nicht vergessen). Wie ich schon erwähnt habe, gab es wegen der unerwarteten, langen Pause viele Umplanungen, aber sobald die Dinge etwas konkreter sind, werde ich euch über den bestätigten Veröffentlichungsplan informieren.

WEIHNACHTSKONZERTE

Die Termine sind online (oder schaut einfach bei Eventim vorbei, wenn ihr nicht warten könnt). Wenn ihr schon mal bei einer Show wart, wisst ihr schon, was euch erwartet. Die Shows finden in kleinen Locations statt und sind ein intimes, energiegeladenes Live-Erlebnis. Wir hoffen, ihr bringt wieder eure Weihnachtsmützen und -pullover mit und kommt zu einer der Partys, um einen lustigen Abend in der Vorweihnachtszeit zu verbringen.
Wir freuen uns auch schon sehr auf die ,,Destructivism"-Show beim Dark Storm Festival am 25. Dezember. Es ist eine besondere Show, die nicht wie andere VNV-Shows sein wird. Es ist ein Non-Stop-Live-Mix aus Tracks von ,,Destruct" mit Elementen älterer VNV-Tracks, vielen Synthesizern und Geräten auf der Bühne und einigen Überraschungen am Ende.


Und zu guter Letzt sind für das Frühjahr 2026 Shows in Nordamerika geplant. Wir sind gerade dabei, die letzten Details zu klären und werden sie bekannt geben, sobald sie feststehen. Die Show in Griechenland haben wir schon angekündigt, und weitere Shows in anderen europäischen Ländern sind in Planung. An anderen Teilen der Welt wird auch gearbeitet. Mehr dazu später
